Accrual:
Team Members will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked. Paid sick leave must carry over from year to year, but you are capped on accrual and carry-over of 48 hours (or six days).
Use of Sick Leave

  • Team Members will have the ability to use up to 48 hours of sick leave per calendar year. After being hired in payroll, you may use accrued paid sick leave for:

    • Diagnosis, care, or treatment of his/her existing health condition

    • Preventive care

    • Family member existing health conditions or preventative care

    • Seeking treatment or to attend court proceedings for a Team Member who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking.

    • *“Family member” is defined broadly and includes a spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, parent- in-law, grandparent, grandchild, and sibling.

  • You may determine how much paid sick leave you need to use. If you use sick leave, you must use a minimum of two hours. You may not use more than you have accrued at any time and are limited to take 48 hours each calendar year, regardless of how much more time has been accrued. Please see your most recent paystub for your accrued PSL hours.

  • Please refer to Handbook Page 15 for more detailed information regarding PSL.
